The first event, organized by members Philip and Caroline Pepper, is at the Seneca Lodge in Watkins Glen on Sunday 8-22 and is our Pre Driver School Fun Run-Rally. Bring your best navigator and your best map. Our route is divided into two stages, for a total of about 65 miles. Navigate through the hills and valleys east of Watkins Glen. Experience beautiful views, twisty roads, lakes waterfalls and vineyards. Optional stops include an ice cream shop, several wineries, a brewery, and a distillery. See old friends and make some new ones.

 

 We will start at the Seneca Lodge promptly at 1:00pm with a brief drivers meeting, so be sure to arrive early (between 12:00 & 12:45) to pick up your rally route and instructions.

 

 Stay with us after returning to the Seneca Lodge for NEQ's second Sunday free event, a tour of the original Watkins Glen Grand Prix race course guided by Peter Argetsinger. The original Grand Prix was held in 1948 and organized by Peter’s father, Cameron, who was also instrumental in establishing the current Watkins Glen track.This drive will take about one hour and meets at the Seneca Lodge at 4:45.
