NEQ Social Activities Calendar Update:

The social committee has been busy putting activities together to kick-off this Spring. Check out all these events to look forward to in 2021 as our social calendar is shaping up. As  club events are launched in MortorsportReg, we’ll be sending out seperate emails so keep an eye out for those.
We have a couple of other cool social activities with dates and details pending that are in the works too. This is shaping up nicely!
And don’t forget, if want to be involved or have a social event idea, email me and let me know what you’re thinking.

How to Select an SA 2020 Helmet

Is your helmet expiring or are you looking to purchase your first SA helmet? Join NEQ and the HMS team to learn about SA2020 helmets, the difference between popular models and how to determine which one is best for you in a safe shopping environment both in-store and virtually.

The HMS team will be live to show off the new inventory of Arai, HJC and Schuberth, explain the differences in price points and show some key features you may want to consider.

As an added bonus, NEQ members who attend the session will get a discount code for 10% off helmets at HMS!

Please note, NEQ is providing information for the convenience of members on the SA 2020 helmets, but in no way is endorsing particular brands or retailers.  SA 2020 helmets will be mandated at NEQ HPDE events by October 2021 in compliance with ACNA guidelines, and may be required by particular tracks based on their guidelines at earlier dates.

Opening Day at Watkins Glen International Raceway

Enjoy Opening Day at “The Glen”, with the Audi Club of America Northeast Chapter and Audi Rochester.

Have you ever wondered what it’s like to drive on one of the most famous road courses in the world?  Well now you don’t have to wonder any more. Join us and drive the track with fellow Audi enthusiasts under controlled conditions behind a pace car.  If you are an NEQ track veteran you already know what it’s like to drive the Glen at speed. But what’s it like at street speeds with your family in the car?

Every year Watkins Glen International (The Glen) holds this opening day fundraiser to kick off the racing season.  The price of admission is a donation to the Watkins Glen R.A.C.E Foundation. The mission of R.A.C.E. (Racing And Community Enrichment) is to meet the needs of local underserved populations with a focus on youth-oriented support.

The day will begin at Audi Rochester on West Henrietta Road where you will receive a boxed breakfast and have a little time to socialize, from a distance of course, and then caravan to the “The Glen” where we will line up and be escorted via pace car for 3 laps of this world-famous race course.  Upon exiting the track, because of COVID, the group will be escorted off the property.  If you chose, you may return to do more paced laps on our own by purchasing tickets on line at opening day event. Or spend the rest of the day exploring the Watkins Glen area and enjoy the natural wonder of the area or visit the many local wineries.

We’ll be sharing the event and sign-up link soon. The cost for the event will be $25.00 with a $20 donation to the R.A.C.E Foundation and $5 towards administrative fees.  Audi Rochester is graciously providing breakfast at the dealership for all those who want to start out from there.  See You At The Glen!
